Re: Any names/surnames that mean "a person of short stature"?
If a surname will do, feel free to borrow mine! Hopefully, if you write anything memorable, people will learn to spell it without having to ask... ;) McGarr, i.e. Mac an Gheairr, Irish for 'Son of the Short (person)'. For a first name, try Beagan, also Irish, meaning the 'small one'. It's part of the surname Beckinsale, now famous thanks to the actress, and from the Lancashire place name Becconsall - the halh of Bekkan, referring to Irish-speaking Norsemen who settled there in the Tenth Century.
