Ninor's Compromise Congrats - Round 1
I still accept sign-ups, so if you want to play, go ahead! Create one of the SO’s and wait for someone else to sign-up with the second SO. After that, I’ll give you your child for this round. And I’m also adding a little ”rule”: If you miss TWO round you’re being dropped. If your partner gets dropped from the game, you will either have the chance to find a new SO, or I’ll jump in and play with you. Feel free to discuss names with your partner either in this thread or through PM.Round 1
Congratulations! You and your partner have just welcomed your first child, and it's now up to you to decide what to name him or her! The FN is to your guys (discuss it with your SO!), but the MN have to come from the list below:Boys: Oliver William Benjamin Ross Mitchell Peter Marshall James Quentin Myles Alexander Forrest Curtis Marcellus Jack Angelo Felix Byron Samuel Henry Clement Noah Jacob Calvin Roman Noel Raphael Dexter Tomas JulianGirls: Grace Liana Rena Sabrina Marianne Elizabeth Michelle Patrice Toni Lauryn Lila Jan Lise Maren Charlotte Charmaine Jayne Lena Joni Mia Deena Lauren Kara Perri Harper Abigail Ava Tahlia Crystal Mari

I think we should choose a FN first and then decide the MN. The couple has a girl, so do you want to each post our top ten girl's names, and sort of see each other's styles?

What origin should we use first? You can decide then we can go from there!
vote up1
Hmm... I think that a Dutch firstname would compliment the surname Sutton.By glancing at the provided middlename, and then at the Dutch page, the combinations Christoffel Marcellus Sutton and Andreas Benjamin Sutton came to mind.If there is a different preferred origin, I am fine with that, too.
Is there a particular "type" or "style" of names that you gravitate toward? I generally lean closer to classic things, but am very open to other ideas.

Sounds great to me!
I like Christoffel Marcellus Sutton! Not a huge fan of Andreas, but it's a nice combo. How about Hans Mitchell or Koen Marcellus?
vote up1
Ahh, yes; Andreas, for me, is always a gamble. It must be in the right context to be pulled off-- and the more I look at Andreas Benjamin, the less I like it.Hans Mitchell is fantastic! Koen Marcellus has an unusual charm, too.
I would be comfortable with either.

I just re-read all the names we've listed and I'm thinking Christoffel Marcellus is a somewhat of a mouthful. There's always Christaan but Christaan Marcellus Sutton is a also a mouthful. Shall we go with Hans Mitchell Sutton?

I agree.Hans Mitchell Sutton, welcome to the world!

Out of your suggestions I like Manby and Lexington for a maiden name. I also like Graham, Gray, and Manedville. As for her MN, how about we go with Elizabeth? It's one of my favorites too. What should her FN be? Here are some of my favorite names.Lily
Anna/Annabelle
Sophie
Arianna
Tessa
Jasmine
Rose
Mirabelle
Violet
Viviana
Jessamine
PiperI'm open to variations too, especially on the flower names. As you can see, I tend toward old-fashioned names. What about you? Suggestions?

I tend toward old fashioned and kind of eclectic names as well. Some of my favorite names are:Aderyn
Cecily
Carolina
Giovanna
Dahlia
Freya
Marta
Eloise
Helena
Idriya
Juniper
Louisa
Miriam
SeverinaI am also open to variation and I like Lily as Lillian, Annabel (this spelling), Sofia nn Sofie or Sophia nn Sophie, Rosalie, Vivienne, Viviana is nice, and I also like Jessamine. I feel like maybe Lillian Elizabeth, Viviana Elizabeth, or maybe one of my names... Or we can find a name we both kind of GP.As for the Maiden name I like Graham and Gray as a boys name too but I don't mind Manedville. So you can choose if you would like. I like Adler so that wasn't a problem at all.So tell me what you think.

How about maiden name Graham? As for your names, I really like Carolina, Dahlia, Helena, Juniper, and Miriam.I like Lillian Elizabeth nn Lily, Viviana Elizabeth nn Viva, and Miriam Elizabeth the best I think. Lillian Elizabeth may be my favorite by just a smidge, but really they're all so close I wouldn't mind any of them.

So, it's a boy!
What kind of names do you like? I'm pretty much open for anything since I love a lot of boys names. Some I like are Noah, Alexander, Caspian, Isaac, Felix, Eli, Elijah, Silas, Zachariah, Phineas, Liam, Leo, Dominic, Wilde, Lucas, Maximilian, Theodore, Joshua, Aidan....And from the MN list I like these: Oliver William Benjamin James Quentin Alexander Jack Felix Samuel Henry Noah Jacob Noel Raphael Dexter JulianAnd oh: I guess we're going with Turner as the surname for our kids?

And oh: I guess we're going with Turner as the surname for our kids? If that's alright with you. It can be Riverside if you want or Riverside-Turner. As for boys names I tend to like more of the classic names and with girls I like more eccentric and unusual names with the occasional classic name thrown in. As for names you picked I only dislike Felix (I had a cat named this) and Eli. From the MN list I like Benjamin James, Quentin, Jack, Noah, Henry, Raphael, Dexter and JulianAs for some suggestions, we could use Noah Henry, Isaac Dexter, Noah Alexander, Silas Jacob... Any thoughts?
vote up1
I'd rather not have a hyphen surname, so it's either Turner or Riverside, you can choose. Either one is fine with me.From your suggestions I like Noah Henry and Noah Alexander. Noah Henry is a bit short for me though, and Noah Alexander is my #1 combo even IRL. More suggestions:
Phineas Alexander
William James "Liam?"
Elijah Henry
Caspian Alexander
Noah Raphael
Raphael Alexander

Noah Alexander was the one I liked the most, too. Do you want to just use it? If not, I like Raphael Alexander. As for the surnames I'll just keep them how they are.

I'm fine with using Noah Alexander.
