To me it sounds like a confusionSólo sé de una Giannina que podría (en el sentido de cápacidad no de probabilidad) desear hablar conmigo sobre algo pendiente... aunque... Pero tampoco... Y si es quién esta podría ser... Pues se me hace extraño y tampoco creo que este es el lugar indicado... un mensaje a mi mail hubiera servido mejor que esta intermediación... Giannina ¿segura que es para este Gianfranco y no para otro? (Sorry people; as I see it, this is the result of some sort of confusion)

My please was...Mi "please" fue dicho en el sentido de "por favor" no de "me fastidia eso" (My please was not an order, it was a plea... Is this distinction being understood?)

I think the misunderstanding is . . ."You're a character" isn't an insult or in any way degrading. It's a sort of compliment! It means that you're funny, quirky, amusing, et cetera. People were surprised at your reaction, and at you thinking you were being judged, because what Magia said was not at all insulting or judgemental in English.:-)
