The name "Joshua" is an anglicized version of the hebrew name "Yehoshua", meaning, "Yehowah saves". It signifies that Yehowah, the Eternal God, is the only savior of humanity (collectively and individually.) Since, the name is a description, a definer, of who God is, there can not be a feminine variant of it.
