I honestly don't know the answer to your question.
But I think you need to take the different pronunciations into account and this seems to be something you might have overlooked.
In Dutch and German Darlene would have been pronounced with three syllables. It would have roughly been pronounced as dahr-LAY-neh (only that the AY would sound like a long EH, kind of like a mixture between AY and EH, hard to explain. In any case it wouldn't sound like EE. I'm not sure about Hungarian but I think it might be the same there).
So Darlene would be dahr-LAY-neh, Doroline would be doh-roh-LEE-neh, Dorolina would be doh-roh-LEE-nah, Darlin would be DAHR-leen, Diewerline would be dee-vehr-LEE-neh, Dorle would be DOHR-leh in a German or Dutch pronunciation. They don't sound the same at all, not even close.
So I doubt they have anything to do with Darlene. I'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with Dorle as both in the English and German pronunciation Darlene sounds nothing like Dorle which is DOHR-leh.
