According to the search engine on my site, my name (Corinne) is pronounced in a way which I'm sure is incorrect and comes from a Greek root meaning maiden which was spelled incorrectly (its spelled, I've been told, kori, not kore)
In any case, if this makes any impact in the meaning of the name (my name's pronounciation is closer to "Corin" and, to be quite frank, I don't like the idea of my name meaning "maiden").
