Sylvia/Silvia
I'm curious about the spelling of the name Silvia/Sylvia internationally. Is the Sylvia spelling just English, or does it ever get used in other languages?

As far as I know the Sylvia spelling is used in Swedish as well as in Finnish.
The name of the Swedish queen is actually Silvia but she's of German descent.

For me, there is no difference between the two of them as i went to school with a Silvia and a Sylvia.
I'm from Germany.

I'm almost sure it does get used in many other languages. In Portuguese, for example, Sylvia is often used, but the "Silvia" spelling is much more common.

In Portuguese, as well as in Catalan, it's spelled Sílvia (with accent).
