Santiago Rosario
Is Santiago Rosario a good name for a character born in Chile? He is male, in his early twenties and now lives in the US. If not can you, please, give suggestions on first and last names used in Chile. TIA.

I am not a native Chilean (I am not French either) but I would have to say that it looks a little odd, as this is either two surnames or a surname and a feminine name. In many Spanish-speaking countries, people have two last names, one inherited from the mother and the other from the father, and you would benefit from researching naming conventions first. Then, perhaps, it would not be amiss to search the naming database for Spanish masculine names before proceeding.Though they are rare, some feminine names used in Spanish-speaking countries, such as Rosario and Socorro, end in -o rather than -a, causing them to appear masculine. Be cautious when picking a name. You may already know this, but "rosario" is the Spanish word for "rosary".
