I think it could be quite a sweet name (for a pet) - if it didn't have negative connotations as Hitler's dog.

Actually, (quick story) at the cross country championships, the girl who came in right behind me was Sophie Fuchs. Her father, while registering pronounced the name "FOO-ks"
