Pagan and Witch names
For my birthday I got an amazing Pagan, Witch, Wicca and Druid Names book! It’s extremely long and I haven’t looked at all of it, but skimming through here are some names I found interesting. Since it’s a pagan book lots (though not all) of the names are mythological, nature themed or old English. What do you think of these?

Very late to the post, but there are so many cool names. I like:Alzira
Dracaena (the meaning "she-dragon" is metal af)
Eimyrja (pretty and it means "ember" and it feels like the name of a viking metal band, I'd 100% call a cat this or have it as a gp middle name)
Elain
Fara
Ingaret
Kerrian
Leocadia (such a gp love)
Litany (extra gp, couldn't realistically use as I'm not religious in the slightest)
Litha
Llorien (feels very LOTR)
Mercy
Miselda
Mnemosyne
Omnia
Ophion
Pasithea
Seaborn
Simaetha
Tyrian
Ysanne
YsfaelSome cool names, most of which I prob wouldn't use in real life or would use for a pet, but they're cool and interesting...I had fun looking up the meanings too... Rhonabwy is fascinating... I wish the meaning were in the database.
Tyro makes me laugh, the meaning "cheese" is amazing. I'd love having a name meaning "cheese" (I also love cheese) but maybe it's not for everyone.
No worries about being late! You’re right, lots of the names had awesome meanings, I’m enjoying going through the book to find them all.
I just looked for Rhonabwy in the book, it says:
‘Rhonabwy is difficult to parse and it’s origins are obscure; the first element may be Welsh: rhôn “lance”- or even perhaps a form of Rhun- the second may be a corruption of byw “alive”, or mab “son”, followed by the suffix -wy.’
So essentially the meaning isn’t totally clear but could be something like ‘lance alive’ or ‘lance son’.
Hope this helped :)
Ooh, that is obscure! Cool though. So I guess Rhonabwy is masc then, I sort of thought it was fem... gave me archaic sorta bulky vibes but also vibes like Rhiannon etc, and I was thinking like Aeronwy and Myfanwy... so that's interesting!

I love Marfisa; it's such a wonderful name! I also like the name Coria, and find both Xanthias and Zadkiel handsome!
Some of these don't seem to fit the category to me. I think of Leocadia as being an extremely Roman Catholic name, and Mercy was one of the most common "quality" names among the Puritans in colonial New England.
Sorry, I probably wasn’t clear enough in the title. The book was specifically targeted at pagans, so it has a lot of mythological, nature themed and very old names in it. However, it also had a great deal of other names in it, from Leocadia and Mercy to Asher and Noah and Muhammad. All in all it had a very wide range!
My favorites are Alula, Alzira, Caelia, Feronia, Kerrian, Lobelia, Messalina, Quintessence, Silene, Tyrian, Tyro, Xanthias, Zennor, and Zosteria.
