> Isaline seems to be trendy in my country (France). I don't know what it means or what's the origin, but it could be Isa + trendy ending line, or Isa + Line (French form of Lina, pet form of Aline, and so on).

To reply, here is the information i have ...
So, i've named my daughter Ysaline (with a Y) and i've done some search.
It seems that is a french name, gived to the french nobility in the last centuries
I've open a wikipedia page here:
http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ysaline
Sorry, it is in French, but i can try to translate it for you:
Other form of the name: Isaline, Isalyne, Ysalis, Isoline, Ysoline, Yzaline, Izolina, Iseline, Yseult, Iseult, Isolde
First explanation: Isaline and Ysaline are coming from Isabelle ... a very common french name which come from Elisabeth ... In hebrew, the meaning of elisabeth is "God is my house" (elicheva ou El-Yah-Beth)
Second explanation (more for Ysaline than for Isaline i think) --> Ysaline --> Ysoline --> come from Ysoie which is the old french name of "Eusébie" (via the step "Eusoye"). There was 3 different Saints which was named Eusébie --> 3 Sainte Eusébie in France ( http://fr.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eus%C3%A9bie ) ... There is even a little village in france named "Sainte-Eusoye"
Eusébie come from Eusèbe (the french name ... same root than the more common spanish name Eusebio) ... it comes from the greek and means "pious"
It is all the information i have :-)
If you have more information, free to you to give me your infos ... or to create the wikipedia page in english :-)
We have named our daughter Ysaline because a grand aunt was named Isoline --> we have done some search, and found than Isaline and Ysaline was beter ...
Hope this helps
