Does the name Thaddeus Smith mean anything to anybody?
in reply to a message by AET
I first fell in love with the name Thaddeus watching reruns of the western TV series "Alias Smith and Jones" starring Ben Murphy and Pete Duel. They played outlaws Hannibal Heyes (Duel) and Jed "Kid" Curry (Murphy), trying to go straight and dodging the law using the aliases Joshua Smith (Heyes/Duel) and Thaddeus Jones (Curry/Murphy). I was so completely in love with hunky Ben Murphy (Thaddeus Jones / Kid Curry), with his blond curls and blue eyes, I thought (at the ripe old age of, like, 8 or 10) I would DIE if I did not get to marry him when I grew up!As for the other male names, Elias is terrific, I have given one of my heroines the surname Elias but also love it as a man's name. Griffin I'm neutral on; Ira is a pantywaist name, imo, and I can't stand the notion of Jem on a boy. Clem, yes. Jed and Jeb, I love both. Jem? Hell no. But this is only my opinion, don't take it hard. If you like it, more power to ya.I really like Erica and Zoe from your girls' list. Theresa and Fawn are nms, and I don't care for Hazel. But two thumbs way up for Thaddeus!
