Re: Arkadii, Arkadi, Arkadiy, Arkady
I was a teenage bookworm. Victorian novels were my drugs of choice, English and Russian ones especially. Arcady was always the name of a young gallant; a ne'er do well who'd gamble into the night and run off with a young heroine only to ruin her character. Or was that Anatole? Arcady and Anatole get mixed up in my mind. Love them both. Their uncle was usually something delicious like Ippolyte / Ippolit. I'm fuzzy on the spellings, but I think these were the way they were transcribed. So that's what my brain and neuro-receptors respond to best. :-)Arkady Samir is terrific. Hmm:Arkady Simon
