Need some help, how would you spell...
You know when you hear a name pronounced and you have no idea how it could be spelled? Well I have one of those and could use some help.
Yesterday as I was leaving church I was privy to this conversation:
Pastor: How are you little lady? (ready to shake hands)
Little girl: (shaking hands) I'm not little lady I'm eye-er-lee!
Pastor: (chuckles) Alright Miss eye-er-lee?
Mother: This way eye-er-lee.
So the name is pronounced eye-er-lee. She was only two or three so I'm not sure if she would have pronounced her name correctly but then the pastor and the mother pronounced her name the same way.
So how would you pronounce a girl's name spelled eye-er-lee or can you think of any name remotely similar in sound that could be what the girl actually said? I've already considered Ira-Lee and Lyra-Lee and Ellery but none of these sound quite the same.
If it helps here are her sibling's names, she's one of six (in order of age):
Briana
Keegan
Abram
Levi
eye-er-lee
Hosanna (g)
Thanks in advance for any help! :)

Maybe
...she was a preemie, so they named her I-Early. :b Just kidding, lol.
Ireleigh and Eirley, as some others suggested, are the least of all the other kre8tyv evils, I suppose. But none of them really 'feels' right to me, either. Though I do agree it's a nice sounding name, the spelling would be tricky.

Lol.
Bad pronunciation of Eirlys?
although the intuitive pronunciation would probably be eye-er-liss unless you thought it was French. It doesn't really go with her other kids names either. The pattern would suggest a Hebrew name but I can't find any close.
I'd love to know if it was a genuine name and not a kr8tyve one.

That was my thought too
Nope, I don't think it's French. I agree than the name should and probably is biblical. If not than maybe the spelling is Ireley which is a surname and a place name.
I'll definitely have to ask the mother in person next Sunday and will post the results of my insanity. :)

On another site I found Areli (prn. ah REL ee) though this site lists it as masculine and it's prnounced ay-REE-lie. Not sure if that helps much though.

I actually used to like the name Ireleigh. Not so sure about it now, but that's how I used to spell it.
Ireleigh, hmm...that's an alright spelling. I was just looking up the spelling Ireley and found that it's a surname and a place name in Ireland and England. There has to be a story behind this little girl's name! :)
Ireley? Eirley? Eireley? Ayerley? Iarley? I-R-lee?
It has a pretty sound, but I'm failing to come with any spellings that look nice. D:
Sorry!

I know, it has such a pretty sound so it's really bugging me that I can't figure out how on earth to spell it!
Ireley and Eirley aren't bad but it just seems that the spelling could be prettier.
Thanks for your help Array! :)

Eireleigh?
Yeah, that looks awfully trendy and kre8tyvve, but it's all I've got!

That's interesting but as you say trendy. Thanks for your help.
