[Opinions] Your 2023 name
It's time to figure out our new names!Look up here (https://www.ssa.gov/oact/babynames/ -> Popular Names by Birth Year) where your first and middle names ranked the year you were born and find the name that ranked the same in 2023 to come up with your new name. For example, my name is Emma Johanna and I was born in 1992. In 1992 Emma was ranked 104th and Johanna 391st, so my new name would be Ayla Julieta. My new masculine name would be August Russell (Raymond Beau in 1992).If you can't find your name, you can try another spelling or variant. Please share your thoughts about your new name.*
*
*I think I'm lucky this year since I find both Ayla Julieta and August Russell quite decent :)~*~*~*~kuin metsäorvokki laaksossa

I used the spelling Tawny since my name variant wasn't in the top 1,000 in 1989. In 1989, I would've been Ken Joe if I was a boy. In 2023, I am either Janiyah Adalyn or Leif Maddox.

Matthias Parker, which i love! I actually have a specific fondness for Parker in the middle spot, following a fn ending in S — it just sounds sparky!

Jace ZaynDaisy Kaylani is interesting. I like Jace on its own, not sure how I feel about Jace Zayn as a combo though.

My 2023 name is Luna Sadie!I love Luna. Sadie is my dog's name, lol. The combo sounds very cutesie celebrity baby name.My masculine name the year I was born would be Andrew Jason and my 2023 masculine name would be William Nathan.Andrew Jason is boring and I don't much care for either name. William Nathan is extremely handsome and William is the name of my grandfather and my great-grandfather, so it's likely I would've been given that name either as a first or middle if I were a boy.

I got two ties for mine
first: Alayna or Kendall
middle: Matilda or Miracle
In alphabetical order, it would be Alayna Matilda or Kendall Miracle. It could also be Alayna Miracle or Kendall Matilda. I could be all four with Alayna Kendall Matilda Miracle, Kendall Alayna Matilda Miracle, Kendall Alayna Miracle Matilda, or Alayna Kendall Miracle Matilda. If I could pick, I would go with Alayna Matilda. At least it's better than my 2022 name, Journee Nadia.
The masculine version would be Reid Clark.
My sister is Paisley Bella or Isaiah Myles as a boy.
My parents would be Isabella Alaia and Gatlin Zachary. Their opposite gender equivalents would be Theodore Vincent and Pearl June.
One of my dogs would be Andrea, or Emmanuel as a boy, which I think would actually make great dog names.

Naomi CoralineIt's ok. It's only one spot away from my real name, same as last year, but I think last year it was Emilia, which has risen 2 spots, and my name has fallen 2 spots. I prefer Naomi to Emilia. Also looked up...
Mom: Genesis Amira
Dad: Declan Jack
Sister: Adaline Lucia

I would be Emilia (no MN). I'll happily take it. I think it's very pretty, and I like the association with Emilia from Othello. If I was a boy, I'd be Isaac. I like it too - it's friendly and sunny.

The SSA site is freezing, but luckily BtN has the list up now: https://www.behindthename.com/top/lists/united-states/2023I would be... Lucy Adriana. While I've never been a fan of Lucy, objectively speaking this isn't a bad name at all. Feels quite Italian-American!Male equivalent would be... Aiden Ali. That one feels Turkish, or Central Asian. (Also, wow, I didn't realize Aiden dropped so much!)
