Not sure why everyone thinks Vale isn't a feminine name- it's so adorable, in a goth kind of way. It reminds me of Valley Eyewear, the Black Veil Brides album 'Vale', and names like Valerie/Valentine/Valkyrie. I suppose it could be gender neutral like Dale; imo Dale is masculine leaning and Vale is feminine leaning.Vale is equally cool as a first, middle, or [invented] last name; as it flows nicely with many other names. I would love to see it rise the charts!
This name can also be a Masculine name, making this name Unisex.

Such a cool name. Unique but in a subtle way. I also think this would suit boys as well as girls.
Also pronounced Val - lay it's a Spanish nickname for Valeria, Valencia, Valentina, etc. Very pretty, but in Spain Vale (with the same pronunciation) means "okay," so it's a little odd there.
I think it makes a beautiful middle name for a girl.
I find Vale more masculine and handsome. Kind of weird how it is listed as feminine. I'd like it much more as a boy name.
