Meaning & History

From Ancient Greek Τρωάδιος (Troadios) meaning "of Troad", itself from Τρωάδα (Troada) meaning "the region of Troy, Troad". This is the name of a Christian martyr who lived in the 3rd century AD in Neocaesarea, Pontus (modern-day Turkey) and was martyred under Roman emperor Decius.
