This unattested/reconstructed name might have given rise to the name of Worsley, a village in the historic county of Lancashire, England; according to the Dictionary of British Place Names, the place name could mean "woodland clearing of a woman named Weorcgyth or a man named Weorchaeth" (the second element in either case being Old English leah).
