Meaning & History
Comasia was bore by a II-IV century martyr and saint who would help during drought and dryness. A legend says that her name was unknown even in the past so she was named Santa (Saint) come sia meaning "be that as it may" in Italian and later became Comasia. Another source says that Comasia comes from an Ancient Greek term meaning "solemn translation (removal)".
