Of uncertain etymology, although the second element of the name (hepa) likely derives from the Hurrian sun goddess 岣猠pat. Name borne by a Hittite queen who was possibly the wife of Tudhaliya I. She is known to have occupied the role of Tawananna (ruling queen) during the reign of 艩uppiluliuma I, who is thought to have been her son.
