Meaning & History
Means "of Helikon, Heliconian" in Greek (see Helikon). This was an epithet of the Muses in Greek mythology, because Mount Helikon in Boeotia was sacred to them. This was also the name of a 3rd-century saint from Thessalonica who was martyred during the persecutions of the Roman emperor Decius.
