Derived from the Greek noun πολυχρονία (polychronia) meaning "length of time". However, one could also regard this name as the feminine form of POLYCHRONIOS.This was the name of the mother of Saint George, who lived in the 3rd century AD. She was a saint herself, or at least she appears to be viewed as such in the Greek Orthodox Church.
