Masculine form of Evodia and latinized form of Greek Εὐόδιος (Euodios). Also compare Euodos. This was the name of a 1st-century Catholic and Orthodox saint, also known as Saint Euodias. It was also borne by a correspondent of Saint Augustine of Hippo who became bishop of Uzalis, a town not far from Utica, in about 396 or 397 AD.
