Meaning & History

Means "bold man", derived from the Greek adjective θρασύς (thrasys) meaning "bold" combined with the Greek noun ἀνήρ (aner) meaning "man".

In Greek mythology, Thrasyanor is a grandson of Heracles via his son Ctesippus. He went on to become a father himself, to a son named Antimachus.
