Possibly a variant transcription of Aisha.In Britain, this name was popularised in the early and mid 1970s by singer and actress Ayshea, also known as Ayshea Brough (1948-), who, at the time, appeared in the science fiction series 'UFO' (1970-71) and had her own TV show called 'Lift Off with Ayshea' (originally just 'Lift Off'), which lasted until 1974.
