Meaning & History

This was the name of a hero in the Ossetian epic and saga Nart. He is the son of Ækhsærtæg and Dzerassa, twin brother of Khæmyts, and half-brother of Satanaya. His name (and the variant Uruzmag) are popular among the modern Ossetian people.
