Georgian name sources state that this name is of Greek origin, but that the meaning is unknown.

At the same time, Tebronia is the name used to refer to saint FEBRONIA of Nisibis (284-304) on the Georgian Wikipedia. Confusingly, religious Georgian sources use the name ფებრონია (Pebronia) to refer to saint Febronia of Syria (8th century). The latter form makes the most sense though, since Latin -f- and Greek φ (ph) usually become ფ (p) in Georgian.
