The name is a Jamaican Patois form of NESTOR.This name is best known for being the middle name (but originally the first name) of the Jamaican reggae singer Bob Marley (1945-1981), who also bestowed the name upon three of his sons. Another well-known bearer of the name is Zuma Rossdale (b. 2008), the second son of the singers Gavin Rossdale (b. 1965) and Gwen Stefani (b. 1969). He carries the name as a middle name, which was in all likelihood given to him in honour of Bob Marley.
