Meaning & History
Old Norse name meaning "the one slumbering". Possibly derived from the same word as Swedish dvala and Danish and Norwegian dvale, meaning "sleep, hibernation". Dvalinn is one of the four stags in Norse mythology who ate the buds off of Yggdrasil, the World Tree. He is also a dwarf and a smith that made a necklace worn by FREYJA.
