Also compare the name Mneme, which literally means "memory, remembrance" in Greek.

Lastly, the second element of this name is derived from the Greek noun ἀρετή (arete) meaning "goodness, excellence" as well as "virtue, skill". As such, the meaning of this name is basically "commemorating virtue".
