September 1, 2023 - Consecutive hits from the same IP address no longer count towards search and view stats. This is to prevent "ballot stuffing".

October 4, 2019 - Submitted name statistics are being collected as well.

May 10, 2019 - Page view statistics are also being collected.

May 10, 2019 - Names that are selected via the autocomplete menu are now counted toward search totals.

May 9, 2019 - Searches that do not exactly match the name's accents will not be counted.

May 9, 2019 - Search statistics now use a 5% sample instead of 1%. Previous totals were multiplied by 5 to compensate.

May 1, 2019 - Statistics are now collected for surnames and place names as well.

December 1, 2013 - The search bar now supports autocomplete. Names that are selected via the autocomplete menu are NOT counted.

April 13, 2005 - Statistics are now being collected for names most searched and most added to personal name lists.
