Alfonso m In the story - Estrella's boyfriend to fiance to husband, runs into trouble along the way which causes problems between them.
Amelia f Carlos's girlfriend, Estrella's friend. She is definitely a martyr who lives life with a brave face.
Andrés m one of Alfonso's brother's, has a very small part, second oldest
Antonio m second youngest. will possibly have larger part though not a direct part.
Augustus m Oldest of the Vega brothers. larger part than Andres most likely.
Carlos m Very important character. For most of the story, Carlos is Alfonso's boss. He and Amelia live together. Not quite sure how the story ends for him but I think he will end up killing himself.
David m Estrella's older brother who dies at a young age because he cannot hear. He has an important part that will not be realized by all readers. He is the onset of Estrella's new life. possible sequel name
Eliana 1 f Estrella's mother. In the sequel I'm planning, it is the name of Estrella's daughter, who is the main character in the (unnamed)sequel.
Enrique m One of Carlos's workers. Young. Early twenties. Not serious at all. Foil character for Estrella and sometimes Alfonso.
Estrella f Main character in first book. Is explaining how she came to be where she is. Readers may get the idea that she is absentminded but she is avoiding the horrible truth at the end of her story.
Fortunato m This is Alfonso's middle name. Used in story ONCE to help Estrella prove a point.
Isidora f Estrella's youngest sister. She's not a very developed character yet because there hasn't been an oppurtunity to do so.
Manuel m Eliana's boyfriend in the sequel. The main point of the sequel is the trouble they get into after Eliana learns all of her parent's past.
Marianela f Estrella's aunt. Her father's sister. Takes care of Estrella's sisters.
Marisol f Estrella's sister. She is the middle child who runs into trouble herself. Estrella blames herself for this because she secretly blames herself for the accident.
Silvio m One of Carlos's workers. Mid-Thirties. Very Serious. Possible Bad Past. Possibly Gay. Not Sure Why.
Xavier m Estrella's father. Spends most of the story in prison.
