I didn’t know that [ZIP-or-ah] or so was the more correct pronunciation, I only knew [zip-POR-ah]—the more you know! I like the traditional pronunciation a lot, though I disagree that the less correct pronunciation is worse, moreover that the [POR] sound has a negative connotation, since it sounds more to me like ‘pour’, giving it a watery feeling. Either way, I think this is a lovely and unique name :)
I have always loved the name Zipporah. It is strong, feminine, biblical and elegant. Plus, Zip would be an adorable nickname. I also love the meaning “bird” as that could represent freedom, beauty and peace. Overall, I think Zipporah is a wonderful name.
I usually love uncommon biblical names but this one is just awful. Very clunky and homely sounding.

Zippora, that's my name and I think it's really beautiful but there are so many people who call me "Debora", "Siffora" or even "Cebora". It's annoying, but I love my name and that it's not such a common name. My parents wanted to call me Zippora but also wanted a more common name and finally they decided to give me the longest name ever: Elisabeth Zippora. It's quite long, but I love it. Sounds a bit royal, doesn't it? Also, my callname is my second name, Zippora, so most people call me Elisabeth, also the teachers at school, but I have gotten used to it. My friends call me Zippy or Beth (sometimes). Soooo, I highly recommend this name, also in combination with a second (or first) name. Its meaning is really beautiful, and it's not such a common name like others.

Very pretty meaning, but I don't think it's a good name.
I love this name which is why I chose it for my first daughter. She loves it too! We sometimes shorten it to Pora and her friends often called her Zippy! People should choose it more often! I also like the Latin form Sefora.
I love this name a lot! I plan on using this as a name for my future daughter, using the Greek spelling and pronunciation, Sephora, or Sefora... I think this name is very pretty and exotic, and also very unique.
I believe this is a very odd and eccentric name, perhaps a little too much so for general usage, although I find it has some intriguing qualities. When I think of this name, it reminds me of an elaborate bird of paradise, or a peacock, or some other fantastically and beautifully-plumaged, exotic fowl. :)
We used Zipporah for the middle name of our third daughter. In some respects, I wish we had made it her first name. It is very distinctive, has a beautiful sound, and comes with a distinguished pedigree, given that Zipporah was the name of Moses' wife. The chief downside I can see is the potential for nickname abuse, with nicknames like Zippy or Zipper. It is a beautiful name, though.
A beautiful, exotic name that no one will have trouble pronouncing. It's perfect. :)

The name is very beautiful. I love it and I am considering naming my daughter that. It's wonderful and makes me feel good when I hear it and/or think about it. The only problem is the meaning which I feel should be the primary reason a name is chosen. It means bird but the name sounds so fine I cant help but to consider.
If you've seen Prince of Egypt, you know she's quite salty. They portrayed her to match the sound of her name well. Zipporah sounds like a salty woman. She is, too. We get to read about a fight she has with Moses in Exodus.
I really love the name Zipporah. An adorable nickname for Zipporah could be Zipper. Or not! It reminds me of a practical, yet beautiful woman. Very exotic. More parents should consider using this name!

FYI, Zipporah is said how it sounds! I love this name, Moses married Zipporah in The Bible.
