Zinaida is the name of one of the main characters - a very beautiful young woman - in the book 'First Love' by Russian writer Ivan Turgenev. The original book is written in Russian.

She was also the inspiration for the character Larisa "Lara" Antipova in his novel "Doctor Zhivago."
