'xenophobia' This name does not sound pleasant at all, Zena sounds better.
I really like this name! It's unique, starting with Z, and the name of a queen, which is Queen Zenobia. I give this name a solid 10/10.
I've never heard this name before and I quite like it. It also sounds like my name, Zainab.
It's so pretty! Some people might think this is unattractive just because it sounds like "phobia", but I do not agree. It has this kind of unusual sound and look to it that makes it very outstanding and unique! If you want a relatively rare baby girl name, use this! :D.
This is my mom's name. I think she grew up not knowing other Zenobias. When she encounters another one she feels like she's the sole possessor of the name, lol.
My name is Zenobia, and I get called Zeny or Zenobi. Just helpful nicknames!
I cannot believe that so many people dislike this name! This would be my first name pick if I had a daughter. It is bold and strong and beautiful. It makes you think of a woman who is independent, yet kind; strong, yet gentle; a warrior. Just like the Queen Zenobia.
A lovely, classic name for a girl! Zenovia is nice as well and it is unique because it starts with Z, and very few popular names do and this name also sounds powerful.
My name is Z(i)nobia, spelled with an I. I've always been the only one in school and my adult life & and always get a "that's an interesting name" from people I meet for the first time. I love it, it's definitely not common and has the most interesting history of the the Queen of Palmyra, which make it even more beautiful to me.
Cool name! I think Zenovia is softer and prefer that over Zenobia, but both are unique and cute.
I honestly loved this name when I first heard it in my favorite movie 35 & ticking. This is a beautiful name. I never heard it when I was in school or any where I went I always said when I have my first daughter this will be her name & I'm not ever gonna change that. I am so in love with this name! People don't have to like it, that's their opinion but I know mine (: I'm sorry, but I LOVE THE NAME ZENOBIA.
I think this name is alright really, I suppose. To English speakers, this name can sound quite ugly and foreign, but I think the bones of this name are okay and I also think it could sound quite futuristic, smart, elegant and sophisticated, on the right person, though. :)
I think Zenobia is stunning. It has a strength to it that I like, and it has a spunk and almost defiant feel to it. I also think Zenobia tends to have a sensual feel, which MIGHT not be necessarily appropriate for a child.
Zenobia is just really beautiful. It's one of my favorite names. ^-^
My first introduction to this name came from Ethan Frome (which is one of my all-time favorite pieces of literature). Because of that introduction, I don't think I'd ever be able to separate the name from the character. For anyone who has read the book, you can see where that might be problematic! Otherwise, it's a very pretty name,
Very pretty, but I don't like the 'b' sound in the middle of it.
I love this name. It sounds incredibly beautiful and the historical Zenobia was an awesome figure.
It's quite a nice and interesting-looking name on paper, but PLEASE, spare your child the horrors of having this name. Think of all the ways somebody could turn it into a bad nickname, starting with Zenophobia.
This was my grandmother's middle name and she hated it with a passion. It was an unspoken understanding in the family to just pretend she didn't have a middle name, and woe betide the hapless government clerk who insisted she put it down on some form or other. Her father, a student of Greek and Roman history, chose it for her, and I don't think Grandma ever fully forgave him for it.
Sounds like Xenophobia! I think this name is great for a place, not a person.
I'm sorry, but to be brutally honest, I can barely stand this name.
I'm sorry. Ugh. This name sounds like a disease involving sleep loss as well as a few brain lobes.
