Great name to have on your birth cert. A bit more captivating than Zachary, though I love that name too, you could shorten Zachariah to Zachary, and then to Zach if you wanted, too.
I used to think that this name was very pretentious and awful, but now I quite like it. My youngest sibling was going to be named this but our mother "chickened out" and ended up going with Zachary instead. Zachary is fine but I prefer Zachariah or just Zac\Zach\Zak\Zack on its own.

It is a bit more unique and complex than Zachary, not to mention the different spelling variations you could come up with. But in my opinion, the classical/original spellings are the best.
I like this name very much. It is much better than the overused "Zachary", and very different and strong. My brother has a friend named Zachariah Alton, "Alton" after his Dad, and I feel they fit him perfectly.
