My sister's name is Aeriyanna and her nickname is Yanni. I think this is a good nickname for people who yawn a lot.

I find the name Yanni quirky and cool. :P It could be used as a nickname for Yannis if you find it informal sounding. :)

Sounds quite girly to me. I can only think of the schmaltzy music of the composer Yanni.
