Based on what I can determine from FamilySearch records and name data from several Latin American countries, this name seems to have been used since at least the 1910s and usage is widespread in that part of the world (though a few countries, like Argentina, have several dozen bearers out of the millions in population at best). It did start seeing signs of growth in popularity from the 1920s onward, though I do agree that the Colombian actress did help increase usage in countries where Yadira was already used, e.g. Costa Rica, and facilitate its usage elsewhere, e.g. Ecuador.
