It's alright, I really wouldn't wait 9 months to name my kid Wynne, but it makes sense for a middle name.

This name is such a simple yet whimsical name. I'd consider using it on a child, because aside from its lovely sound and meaning, Diana Wynne Jones (the aforementioned author) wrote one of my all-time favorite books, Howl's Moving Castle.

My name is Wynne (female) I've only met a few Wynne's in my lifetime and they were men. I love my name and it is so unusual that people always stop and pronounce it again, or say that it's beautiful. The meanings that I have found before this site were Celtic, meaning fair of skin and hair.
