A very lovely classic name!
My name is William. I've been confused as Willis sometimes for some odd reason. If I were to ever change my name, I'd probably go for Willis. I've never met one, and it's really rare for my age group. I like it, it sounds really handsome. I totally recommend both William and Willis.
This name sounds old-fashioned and snobby.
Anytime I hear this awful name, all I can think of is the stupid 80s sitcom Different Strokes: "Whatchoo talkin' bout, Willis?"
I like the sound of it as a girl's name, like Phyllis! I think it’s more feminine than masculine, but that’s just me. I wouldn’t name a child this, but it’s a nice unisex name.
The name Willis is so cool, handsome, cute, respectable and sexy for a guy! ヽ(*^∀゜*)ノ Though I like the name William, I find the name Willis much better than the name William as William sounds too old-fashioned. Also, Willis Carrier, who is best known as the inventor of modern air conditioning, is a FAWESOME namesake! ;D.
I wouldn't use this, but it's kind of cool. Plus, you can use all the William nicknames on it, except Liam, which is ugly and trendy anyway. It'd be a cool nickname. Also, the sears tower is apparently now called the Willis towers, although most people still call it the sears tower.
"Watchoo talkin' bout, Willis?"
LOL!
Rest in peace Gary Coleman.Anyway, back to Willis... this really isn't such a bad name. I just can't get the Diff'rent Strokes association out of my head.
This name is quite ugly, and I dislike Bruce Willis.
This name makes me think of Bruce Willis, who I can't stand. The name is too surname-y anyway.
This name really appeals to me because it shows someone that is courageous and strong-minded but is also good-willed.
