Love this spelling over Vinny. Vinnie is my son's nickname and I do not conform when teachers or family write Vinny. I just keep on with the classy ie at the end. To me Vinny looks more bland.

Vinnie is the correct spelling for a male -especially in New York and surrounding states in the US. It's the masculine spelling.

Sounds more like an old woman to me than a man of any age, unless it's spelt Vinny.
