Marcus Vinicius is one of the leading characters in Quo Vadis, a young Roman patrician whose life is changed when he falls in love with a Christian maiden.
Vinicius de Moraes (full name Marcus Vinicius de Moraes) was a famous Brazilian poet, essayist, playwright, lyricist, and diplomat. Born in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in Ocober 19th, 1913, and passed away in the same city on July 9th, 1980. One of the songwriters (lyricist) of "The Girl From Ipanema" (along with Antônio Carlos Jobim), the second-most recorded popular song in history.
