I really like this name! It feels very mature and graceful :D it comes from Latin ‘alder field’, or a variant of Veronica ‘bringer of victory’. It’s also a little similar to the Russian word for crow, ‘vorona’. I like the nicknames V, Veve/Vivi, Vero, Rona, and Vera ♡.
Sounds very pretty, but I prefer Veronica. Also, it rhymes with "corona".

I like this as an alternative to Veronica. I prefer Verena to Verona though. I like the association with a beautiful Italian city like Florence, much better than say, Brooklyn or such.

Beautiful to the power of a million--- I'm thinking of using it.
Dakota is also a place name and people still use it, and so is Jordan and Sydney, Paris, Chelsea, I can go on for years. No one seems to be teased about it.

The name sounds both beautiful and cool, and I prefer it to Veronica. However, there's a very ditzy German celebrity named Verona Pooth, formerly Verona Feldbusch, and this name reminds me of her too much. Maybe one day I'll hear of someone else with this name that is actually cool.
