English speakers say VAHS-ko, for what it's worth. Actually not a bad name at all in my opinion, but unless your background is Italian or Spanish, I think it would seem out of place. Also the sound of it kind of makes me think of Boscov's department stores, which is a positive association though I wouldn't name my kid after a department store necessarily...
