Ty Webb is a character in the 1980 film, Caddyshack. Ty is a calm and witty mediator, who has plenty of advice to share.

Ty Taylor is an American musician best known for being the lead singer of Los Angeles soul rock band Vintage Trouble. He is the voice of character Lester Grimes on the HBO series Vinyl created by Martin Scorsese and Mick Jagger. Taylor has two songs, "Cha Cha Twist" and "The World Is Yours," featured on the 2016 soundtrack album Vinyl: Music from the HBO Original Series, Volume 1. He was formerly the guitarist and vocalist of R&B group Dakota Moon and was also a contestant on the reality TV show Rock Star: INXS.

Tyler "Ty" Burrell is an American actor. Burrell is best known for his role as the affable father Phil Dunphy on the ABC sitcom Modern Family (2009–2020) earning two Primetime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series.

Benedict Chijioke (1972 – 2020), better known by his stage name Ty, was a Nigerian-British rapper. He released the albums Awkward (2001), Upwards (2003), Closer (2006), Special Kind of Fool (2010) and A Work of Heart (2018). Upwards was nominated for a Mercury Prize. Ty collaborated with musicians such as Shortee Blitz, Drew Horley, Tony Allen, Roots Manuva and De La Soul.

Tyrone Griffin Jr., known professionally as Ty Dolla Sign (stylized as Ty Dolla $ign or Ty$), is an American singer, songwriter and record producer. He first gained recognition for his guest appearance on hometown rapper YG's 2010 single "Toot It and Boot It", which entered the Billboard Hot 100 as his first minor hit. He signed with Atlantic Records in 2012, and Wiz Khalifa's Taylor Gang Entertainment the following year.

A famous bearer was baseball player Ty Cobb (1886-1961), who I can't believe hasn't been mentioned here. His real first name was Tyrus, however.

The main character is named Ty in the video game "Ty the Tasmanian Tiger".

Ty Pennington, the "team leader" on the show Extreme Makeover: Home Edition, is a famous bearer of this name. ;)
