Such a sweet, nice name, Trixie! Unusual, rare, really sweet name! Lovely and elegant!

It’s honestly not bad but I do prefer it as a middle name however. You should name your daughter Beatrix, Bellatrix, or Calytrix so you can nickname her Trixie or Trix.

As someone whose name is Trixie, I really like my name because it is really cute. However, the fact that it is cute is making everyone treat me like a baby. I'm almost 21 and people still call my name with a tone for a toddler. Aside from that, I have no other issues. If you like your child to bear this name, you can freely do it. Contradicting to the people here who think this name is trash or for a dog, it's a very positive and lively name. I've been living a life free from name stereotypes because my name isn't common.

As for being a Trixie for 45 years now, I think it's cool as hell. Yeah I got made fun of it but hell, who doesn't?! I'm unique and there aren't too many with the same name. It does suck because I can never find anything with my name on it. So special order it is.

From personal experience I HATE the name with a passion. My name is Trixie (unfortunately it's not short for anything.) and I got bullied all throughout my school life and it still continues now just because it's known as a dogs name and a cartoon's name, and I'm 20. It's not a good name for anyone in this day and age, people don't understand how it makes others feel. It sounds stupid that it actually effects me but it does and there's nothing I can do about it.

In school, she is the only Trixie. Unlike the numerous other names that are repetitive in nature.

There are no hard and fast rules for naming dogs or cats. Our family cat's names are Oreo, Nuts, and Biscuit. Who names their dogs human names!

I think that Trixie as a bad name for a human being but a good name for a dog or any pet that you have. That is only my opinion on that name for different things but you can do whatever you want. You could name your child that if you wish, no one will stop you from doing such a thing. I am just saying don't do it just because it sounds like a funny thing to do at that time. Take naming your pets and children seriously and not like a fool.

I think Trixie is a lovely name. When I think of the name Trixie I automatically think magic and fantasy. I guess I have Disney and Nickelodeon to thank for that.

I just wanted to say that yes, it's nice of you, giving your opinions on the name but there are people with that name that might be offended. I'm not being rude I'm just saying! Like for example that is my name "Trixie" straight up "Trixie" not short for ANYTHING!

This is my auntie's nickname, her real name being Nicole. I have no clue where the origin of the nickname Trixie came from, but I think it's a silly name and she should have stuck with Nicole.

I never liked this name. It sounds low-class. It also kinda sounds cartoony. Maybe that's because a lot of cartoons have Trixies, like Speed Racer, Fairly OddParents, and My Little Pony. Trixie also reminds me of that trashy name Dixie.

One of the most "dog" names there is, along the lines of Shelby, Roxy, Baylee, and Bella.

This name is kind of annoying. Plus it reminds me also of Trixie Tang from 'The Fairly OddParents'.

Maybe it would be fine as a nickname. As a legal name, it sounds so ditzy and trashy, not to mention it makes me think of the annoying Trixie Tang from Fairly OddParents.

To me, Trixie sounds so cute it's sickening. This is no way a person's name. A dog's or a cat's, but never a person's.

It makes me think of a trickster. A girl named Trixie would be a trouble maker. Or maybe called so because she was tricky - like difficult. Either way it sounds negative.

I was obsessed with this name as a kid. If other people wouldn't consider it being only a dog's name I would definitely consider using it. It sounds really cute.
