I didn't care for the name Travis, it was just super popular when I was growing up. But now, I think the name Travis is connected to a few unique and interesting people. Makes me really like the name. It can be a country name or a rock n roll name. My step son's name is Travis & we can him Trav a lot.
Travis is a name that I’ve always loved. It’s always been a top contender for me because of the sound. The fact that it’s unique helps the case as well!
Travis is a cute, laid-back yet masculine and strong name! I love that it’s not very common. Another great name that suits an adventurous little boy or a hard-working, intelligent man.
Travis was my first boyfriend's name and he was so ridiculously sweet. He was a very gentle, friendly guy. I'll always associate the name with that person.

I haven't any particular tie with Travis. I rate it 4/10. It is not boring nor ugly but I personally would not use it.
I like this name, but it doesn't really sound sophisticated or smart. Nothing wrong with it, but it makes me think too much of trailer parks.

Travis gives me the impression of a southerner\country type. Some guy who comes from the south but who isn't necessarily "hillybilly" or "rednecked" or "unintelligent \ignorant." Just someone who originates from the south.

This is my 1st son's name, and even though we chose it because it was a family name, I've always loved this name! We live in Texas and all 3 of my kids have Southwestern names, which I adore. My Travis is a kind, funny, redheaded, and extremely smart 11 year old who loves life and lights up the room with his charm.
I don't know why, but this name reminds me of outer space.

I love this name! My fiance and I are planning to our soon-to-be-born son Travis. I'm a big country girl, so I like that Travis as that cowboy-ish sound to it. Very nice.

I love this name. And I know there are girls with the name Travis, but when I think of someone with this name I imagine a sweet guy who may seem meek and timid, but can prove to be bold and be a fun person to be around.
This name always makes me think of the Scottish band. I don't really like most names that end in 's' or the 's' sound, and I especially dislike them on males. This name sounds quite old-fashioned to me despite Travis Barker.
This is my name. I guess I like it alright. It's cool because there aren't many Travises out there, but everyone's heard the name before. It's unique but not too out there. I've only come across 4 or 5 other guys named Travis in my lifetime. It seems to have a cowboyish flair to it, which is kind of cute.
This is the name of my firstborn. My husband, from Texas, named him. I'd never heard of it and it sounded strange. Of course now I'm used to it and love it because I associate the name with someone I love. It does sound awfully out-West, though.
I gave this name to my 3rd son, He is Travis Lawrence (Lawrence is a family name). He is 11 and likes his name, here in BC it isn't too common of a name.

Many believe that Travis is a name for males only. Not any more, I am female with the name and I LOVE IT! Yeah, it gives me trouble sometimes, but it is a very unique name which has been converted to unisex.

My husband is a Travis, named for William Barret Travis of the Alamo. My Travis is a fun-loving, handsome, country boy with excellent manners and high moral standards. I like that I can associate the name with him and not some Travis Bickle (whoever that is supposed to be). Travis is a manly name with a fun ring to it. It just sounds good and solid and "all American" to me. I also really like the music and personality of Randy Travis to boot.
