Not a fan! If it's his nickname, then okay, fine. But as a legal name? Why? Why can't you just use Christopher or Toby? But to each their own, I guess.

This name makes me think of gophers. Why not just use Christopher?
This is a bad name. Kit is a way better nickname but that's not even saying much because even Chris is better, however overused it may be. No, "Toph" is not a reasonable alternative, other commenters. It's worse, actually. If you have a child named Topher don't talk to me.

Definitely the worst nickname for Christopher. It sounds like something hipsters would call their kid. Even Chip isn't nearly as bad as this.
I like this nickname for Christopher compared to Kit and the boring and overused Chris. It has a more unique feeling and hey, if you think it's weird you can even shorten it to Toph.

This reminds me of tofu and gophers. Why not use the full name Christopher? Not many people go by it, which is such a shame as it's such a great name!
Reminds me of "tofurkey," a turkey-shaped tofu dish. Why not just use Chris? It's hardly overused anymore. Almost all the Chris's I know are well into their thirties/forties, with the youngest one being about 26.
This name reminds me of the two words 'tofu' and 'gopher.' Topher is also an ugly name.

Of course, for those who do not like Topher, you can always shorten it to Toph. It's a real name.I like it, it's different and not over-used. I have only heard of one person who's given name was Topher. Anyway, it's still a nice alternative. :)
Chris is way too common, but at least it sounds better than Topher. Topher just makes me think of 'gopher,' sorry.

I really don't like this. Neither as a full name nor as a nickname. Sorry, it makes me think of tofu. Chris may be overused but it's still way better than Topher.
