Meh... people might confuse this with the word titty. Tabby is a better nickname for Tabitha.

As a nickname for Tabitha, I prefer Tabby. Tibby reminds me of ribs. Why not just go with Tabby? Cats are cool.

I find this name very cute although personally I think it sounds like the name of a pet rather than a person. The name Tabitha sounds more formal.
