Name's Tanor, but the pronunciation is similar to Tanner, but slightly different. "Tah-ner" instead of "Tan""ner". The n isn't as sustained. The meaning and origin is different as well. My name gets compared to this one a lot, or thought to be derived from it. It's actually derived from Tanwir, which is completely different to Tanner, but I guess they rhyme in English. ---I knew a few Tanners, and our very own Pennsylvania has Tannersville, home to Camelbeach and Camelback Mountain Ski Resort.
